Assistant Chief of Staff Operations (Asops Kasal) Rear Admiral TNI Dadi Hartanto and Marine Corps Commander (Dankormar) Major General TNI (Mar) Suhartono directly inspect the Joint Exercise (Latma) Recon Exercise 21-I at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California (14/09 /2021).
Exercise activities have been carried out from September 1, 2021 to September 16, 2021. The joint exercise Recon Exercise 21-I is useful for increasing the interoperability of the capabilities of the Marine Corps Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion soldiers with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Reconnaissance Unit, through technical and tactical exercises as well as team-level training focused on amphibious reconnaissance operations.
During their review, Asops Kasal and Dankormar had the opportunity to board the MV 22 Marine One aircraft to see live training on the terrain used. The joint exercise (Latma) Recon Exercise 21-I is very important to be carried out to exchange skills and experiences, so that in the future the tactics used can develop and continue to follow technological advances in the Main Equipment of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Weapon System (alutsista).
Not only reviewing the exercise, Asops Kasal and Dankormar also carried out a courtesy call received by Lieutenant General Karsten "Hazel" Heckl as the commander of I MEF (1ST MARINES EXPEDITIONARY FORCE). In addition to courtesy calls, the exchange of placards and photos together was also carried out as a form of increasing cooperation in military exercises in the two countries.
